She would oof as her tiny paws scrambled to dig into the metal.
”Sound off, Chibi squad!”

"Chibi!" said Tsume, digging her claws into the van as she formed a cage of safety around Humumon.

"Chibi!" whimpered Humu, flattening himself against the van.

And a moment too soon, Pagu would swing up onto the roof as the van made a sharp turn! A twinkle in his sassy red eye as he spoke the sacred word: "Chibi."

She would salute with her tail as she turned to look where this big metal beastie was going- so far this mission was a big success!

The wind biffed, baffed, battered and buffed through the chibimons' fur--or in Humumon's case, his scales. Even after the harrowing charge to lay claim to the mighty metal beast, and subsequent glory, they could not dare to rest on their tiny laurels. In a terrible rage, the family van charged through low hanging tree branches! Threatening to poke an eye out or worse, get all up in their grill!

”Good, good.. DUCK!” she would squeak out, trying to lay as flat as her poofy little body would allow her to do. This was way more dangerous than she anticipated—!

"What-?" asked Pagu, only for his face to get smacked one, then twice, then thrice by branches and leaves like a piñata! Even the point of going cross-eyed! He was about to fall backwards off the van when Vixi glomped him by the ear-hand! "Thas' a mean lef'ook," he slurred, eyes rolling in their sockets.

"What's his deal anyway?" asked Tsumemon. "Those branches weren't even that heavy or big."

"I'm a little i'a with a pua'a snoot," said Humumon. "I have no answers for you, cousin."

”You good Paguboss?!” she asked, seeing how loopy he was

"I c'n do eet," said the blue ball. "I c'n mck it... fer icer crmm...!"

"Incoming!" cried Tsumemon! For indeed, the van-beast now played chicken with another of its kind! No, wait, they passed each other, as if the white streaks that cut the road in twain were the border between two territories none dared to cross! "What was THAT about?" asked the purple claw.

”Uh… good to know? And these big metal mons are weird! They have no concern for their Chibi passengers!”

"What do we do if we're seen?" asked Humumon. "There's nowhere to hide up here!"

She didn’t think about that.. but an idea came to her as they continued to go down the road.. humming in thought. ”We can hide under the thing when it stops! That way we can keep an eye on the bigguns!”

In unison, the chibimon agreed. What proceeded, however, would test the limits of all that was chibi. Their strength, their courage, and their UwUs.

And so began the age... of chibi car-surfing.

Whilst the others gripped the van's roof rack for dear life, Viximon defied convention by standing firm, the prettiest kit smiling in the face of danger as she bent and balanced her tiny knees (tinees) to the motion of the car! The rhythm of the street! And in so doing, she beheld the world of the bigguns. The warm shadows of the vivid greenery as it opened up to boxy buildings of creamy-whites, beiges, and pinks; the towering palm trees as they danced with the wind beneath a sapphire-blue sky. In the distance, she could see bigguns, and even some not-so-bigguns. Few of these mighty figures looked up from their sacred glass tablets as the chibis approached, and fewer still looked up from their conversations as they laughed, talked, chilled, and vibed. Birds in the shape of White-Vs cried from on high. They were neither bigguns nor chibimon. Were they as the Cinammon, Sugar, and Caschew? What secrets did they see as they flew free above the town of Hilo? Before her mind could wander further into a ponder, the kit's silver-blue eyes fell upon a tiny biggun as the van slowed down. She was almost twice as tall as Vixi, and wore a frilly pink skirt, her tiny hand reaching out towards Viximon as her eyes twinkled above a smile.

Viximon would smile even more as she took everything in, eyes sparkling in wonder. In some ways, this place was a lot like Cypher Bay when she first saw it for the first time, and the awe that she felt was just as powerful. The bigguns seemed to have a super peaceful, albeit busy life here in Hilo.. and she found such things comforting. But as she watched the strange birds, tiny mouth almost hanging open.. something pink caught her eye. Looking down- she saw a small human staring right at her… a big smile on its face. She would the lift a tiny paw and wave at the chibi biggun, smiling back!

The tiny biggun giggled, eyes widening. But just as it seemed here a dialogue might begin between the two worlds of chibi, destiny beckoned in the form of a green light! The tiny biggun shrinking into the distance before the van turned a corner. And at that moment, a NEW discovery was made! For just ahead of the chibimon and their metal chariot stood a building like no other - for it held a sign above its front door, one that was shaped like the very treasure they all sought! Stacked atop a vanilla brown wafer-cone, three scoops glistened in the gold sun. At its base, a scoop of the deepest, darkest chocolate, the next, of rosiest pink strawberry, before being topped by creamy smooth vanilla, bathed in caramel syrup! Was it truly a sign, or were there such bigguns in this world needing of such massive shrines to lactose-chilled paradise?!

Suddenly, the sound of the van ceasing its noise pulled distracted from the vision of chibi-vana.

And once the tiny noggin was passed by.. she would gasp and look at her fellow Chibis as they reached the holy grail! ”We’re here! Oh crap, we’re here! Chibi squad- hide!”
